A very talented musician and a complete team player
When it comes to participation and collaboration in different projects, being a good musician is just the beginning. The most important skills to have are the ability to adapt and to be completely reliable and proactive.
Throughout his entire career, Mauricio Nader has shown his best in every of those aspects. As a bass player, his motto has always been “this is going to be amazing, and we will get the best of us together”.
This is why he has been requested to be a full-time member of different bands and ensembles, many times as a musical conductor, as well as a session musician. All of it for both recording studio and live instances. With many of these projects, he has recorded full albums, done live concerts and tours, performed with Symphonic Orchestras, made collaborations with duos and trios, and been distributed by important music labels.
His experience includes working with world class producers i.e. David Prater from Dream Theater, played with well-known musicians like Chris Adler (Megadeth, Lamb of God), Greg Howe (Michael Jackson), Doug Aldritch (Whitesnake, Dio), among others, and being artist roster of important bands like Ibanez, Markbass and Elixir Strings.
Based in Berlin, Germany, Mauricio is ready for his next musical adventure, teaming up with more artists who are crossing their musical path together.
Live Session musician:
From a small club to the Berlin Philharmonie, from a cozy bar to an outstanding large Rock Festival, Mauricio has been playing concerts and tours with many many artists of different genres. His experience has led him to perform in every kind of venue: Theaters, concert halls, small and big arenas, bars, open airs, etc.
As an active member of the music industry, he knows perfectly how things work: Few to almost-none possibilities for rehearsals, usually little time for soundchecking, last-minute repertoire changes, etc. All of this combined with very good reading skills, knowledge of different music genres, and the proper dress code and stage presence, according to every event.

“Mauricio is an amazing bass player. We make a world-class music crossover with a full symphonic orchestra, choir, soloists and a band, to perform an immense and always sold-out show called “Rock Symphony Night” at the most prestigious venues in Germany, including the Berlin Philharmonie. He immediately understood the repertoire and gave a powerful and groovy rhythm foundation to the entire ensemble, which contains more than 200 musicians on stage. He is a complete problem-solver and a teamplayer, too, which is always very appreciated”
- Wolfgang Roese - Music Conductor and Artistic Director of the Orchestral and Choral Society (ORSO), Freiburg, Germany

“We had a very important participation in a big festival in Hannover, Germany, on a Saturday, and on Tuesday of the same week, our bass player got really ill and was not able to perform. I got the contact of Mauricio from a studio owner who highly recommended him, and learned the entire setlist in less than 48 hours. He only had one rehearsal the day before with the drummer and the guitar player, and that was it. His performance at the stage was absolutely fantastic, but also his stage presence and his adaptable way made everything easy and smooth. Completely recommended!”
- Max Meißner, “Kesh”, pop-rap singer and composer, Berlin, Germany

“I am the co-founder and manager of the Eastside Fun Crew, a major dance and music association based in Bernau that works with and inspires children and young people. For our end-of-year gala, we had two sold-out shows and needed a band for the event. I contacted Mauricio through a recommendation, and he did an outstanding job as a bass player, not only through his musicianship and stage presence, but also as a true team player. Our gala became a memorable event, thanks in part to his contribution.”

“Mauricio is an excellent studio bass player. For my album Quasar, he immediately understood my vision and everything I asked for. He recorded all the bass tracks in his own studio and delivered them with impressive quality. When I received the bass lines, I was blown away by how perfectly he interpreted the music, far beyond what I had imagined. He did an outstanding job, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the result.”

“I have known Mauricio for a long time, and he has been part of many recordings I have done mostly with artists from the U.S.A. I just call him to come into my studio, and without previous listening, I open the session, connect his bass to the mixing desk, and tell him: “I need this”. Then in just one or two takes the track is ready. I really enjoy working with him because it is fast and has a very good taste of music”
- Daniel Cordero, Music Producer, Dungeon Mob, Berlin, Germany.

“I am a laureate organ concertist. When Mauricio first approached me with the idea of performing concerts as a duo with organ and electric bass, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but his enthusiasm quickly convinced me. He created wonderful arrangements of Chilean music and his own compositions, along with pieces we arranged together. The result was two incredible full-house concerts, with an enthusiastic response from the audience. Mauricio is not only a remarkable musician, but also an inspiring motivator.”
- Karolina Juodelyte, Laureate Organ Concertist, Lithuania and Germany.

“My instrument, the Chapman Stick, is not widely known, but it has incredible musical possibilities, and Mauricio understood that right away. He proposed that we organize several tours in Europe together, which became the Stick and Bass Tour. With each concert, the collaboration grew stronger, and every show was better than the last. Thanks to this project, he also helped me gain visibility within the Stick community. But above all, what stood out most was the audience’s enthusiastic response to our music and arrangements. I can’t wait to go on tour with him again!"
- Tomás Díaz, Musician and Chapman Stick Player, Leszno, Poland.

“Many years ago, I had some demos as a solo guitar player, recorded just for fun and uploaded to a guitar competition website. When I showed them to Mauricio, he immediately convinced me to record those songs professionally and go on tour in Chile under my own name. Since then, with my band I have released five albums and completed many tours. Mauricio was part of the first three albums and accompanied me on numerous concerts of those tours. I will always be grateful to have had him in my band.”
- Gabriel Hidalgo, Guitar player and founder of the band “Hidalgo”, Santiago, Chile.

“Together with Mauricio, we created a duo for Electric Bass and Recorder called Kreuzmusik. Over the years, we have performed in Germany and even expanded our project with concerts in Italy. We also recorded an EP featuring our own compositions. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for this collaboration, and I look forward to continuing to create and record music together."
- Benjamin Kiersch, Musician and Recorder Player, Berlin, Germany.
